Hi! My name is Spanky. I am a Yorkie and I share my home with my Dad and Mom - Terry and Sandy Riffey. All my life, I have wanted to do something special and when Dad suggested helping him operate a business, I jumped on it with all four paws. He reminded me of a lot of fun we have had over the years and some of the cute things I did as a pup and how they just really love Yorkies because of me. So, we combined Dad’s artistic ways and my Yorkieness and came up with this online business called Terrific Yorkies. We offer gifts ‘n things for Yorkies and Yorkie lovers.
Dad helps me write some of the material, but I insist on a lot of input. I want this to be a family business. One that will prosper and keep me in treats. I get so excited when we have visitors to our site and want to make sure they feel welcome so they will keep coming back.
I guess I had better give you a little information on Dad, since he is helping. He has lived in and around the Alton, Illinois area all his life. When he was young, he found he had a real interest in creative things like drawing, painting, writing and later, photography. And, even later, using the computer to bring all these things together. He takes a lot of photographs and makes many of the designs you see on our products. So, several of our gifts are unique to Terrific Yorkies. He is always looking for and adding new items that really make me proud to be a Yorkie. He also works with other companies and Yorkie lovers to offer even more items to meet the needs of our customers.
I think we make a pretty good team, don’t you?
Terry Riffey Bio:
From an early interest in art, Terry Riffey has always been involved in creative pursuits which now include photography, writing, typesetting, design work and more. He was involved in personal computers when they were first coming on the scene and imagined ways that art and technology could combine for even greater results. The entrepreneurial spirit surfaced and Terry sought ways to provide creative services and unique products that people would want. Current interests in classic cars and Yorkshire Terriers are at the heart of much of Terry’s recent work as he strives to present information and images on products you will be proud to give, and love to keep.
